Role: Cloud Engineer
Location: Phoenix AZ / Onsite
14+ yrs Exp required
No GC/OPT/CPT
Pref: H1
We will prefer local candidates who can work onsite a couple of days every week
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with 8+ years' experience to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain cloud infrastructure while ensuring cost efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Automation and DevOps: Automate deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Rancher, Jenkins, Helm.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools, analyze performance, and optimize cloud services for efficiency and cost.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure systems meet security and compliance standards, implementing best practices for cloud security.
- Collaboration: Work with development, operations, and security teams to support cloud-native applications and services.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud systems.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of architecture, configurations, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
Proven experience in cloud engineering or architecture roles.
Hands-on experience with cloud providers like AWS, Azure
Skills and Tools:
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and storage concepts.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, CloudWatch, Dynatrace)
Certifications:
Relevant certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Engineer are a plus
